With anti-government protests raging in Hong Kong, China has become especially sensitive about its sovereignty, forcing fashion brands like Versace, Coach and Givenchy to apologize for T-shirt designs that appeared to show Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan as separate territories. Amazon faced the same pressure when it was found to be selling shirts that support Hong Kong's protesters. Chinese supermodel Liu Wen terminated her contract with Coach. And actress Yang Mi ended her endorsement deal with Versace, stating "The motherland's territorial integrity and sovereignty is sacred." The controversy involves two cities that have semi-autonomous status, Hong Kong and Macau. But China also claims Taiwan, a democratic island that Beijing calls a breakaway province.

Oli Crushed the scenery with outrageous style and confident poses
We shot with Oli Luna at Speedboat Beach on Lake Tahoe near Incline Village. We thought it would be warm weather but as it turns out we have the coolest summer for quite some time in this area. This area also had way more snow fall than normal so the lakes are very full now, which makes for a great background!
LIMA, Peru — Police arrested 14 people in Peru and took a five-month-old baby into protective custody, dismantling a human trafficking ring suspected of selling children taken from vulnerable women.

After Bronfman’s secrecy about her attorneys angered the judge, the NXIVM patroness had a fainting spell when questioned directly about Michael Avenatti
For the past two days, Seagram heiress Clare Bronfman has been at the federal courthouse in Brooklyn—the same one where El Chapo went to trial—for emergency hearings in the NXIVM “sex cult” case. Judge Nicholas Garaufis had called her in to grill her about who exactly her counsel was, and why Mark Geragos and Michael Avenatti met with the government last week.
Bronfman has been madly adding attorneys to her defense. The judge reamed her out for telling him that she’d hired Geragos after Googling him, which, on further probing, he thought was untrue, and for playing footsie with Avenatti, now under indictment for extorting Nike, without telling him first. “I control and run this case,” Garaufis said. “You’re going to tell me who the lawyers are.”
This is the latest strange twist in the NXIVM case, which has been ramping up for a trial scheduled to begin April 29. NXIVM leader Keith Raniere and five of his female disciples have essentially been accused of conspiring to run a self-help group that doubled as a sex-trafficking ring—though not all the defendants may have been aware of the extent of the sex.
When he met with NXIVM prosecutors, Avenatti claimed to have information for them, presumably as a way to secure some advantage for his then-client Clare Bronfman, though clarification on this point was not forthcoming at the hearing. Bronfman also told the court that she has stopped working with Avenatti since his indictment in the Nike case. https://www.vanityfair.com/news/2019/03/michael-avenatti-clare-bronfman-the-sex-cult-case-offers-to-barter-with-prosecutors

We found a cool abandoned community center at a park in north Sparks, just north of Reno Nevada. The center was littered with graffiti and other cool degredated material! We highlighted the awesome wall art and unique lighting inside the building, then we lit a bunch of candles to make a cool erie photo session!
NXIVM co-founder Keith Raniere was indicted on new charges late Wednesday as prosecutors say they have evidence he had a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old girl and images of her that amount to child pornography. https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2019/03/14/keith-raniere-nxivm-founder-child-porn-charge-alleged-cult-case/3165006002/
"The government also intends to offer evidence that members of the Enterprise, including the defendants, were aware of and facilitated Raniere’s sexual relationships with two underage victims," prosecutors wrote.
Nancy Salzman Pleads Guilty to Racketeering
The president and co-founder of NXIVM pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court, admitting to participating in a widespread criminal enterprise on behalf of the cult-like organization.
